Fabienne Audéoud lives and works in Paris,after spending ten years in London and two years at the Jan van Eyck Academy in Maastricht. After completing an MA in Art at Goldsmiths, her practice — previously centred primarily on music — shifted towards the visual arts and developed within the context of the London art scene of the 1990s.
Her body of work includes series of paintings, videos, installations, and mostly musical performances. It revolves around the difficulty of speaking and issues of power relations, particularly through language, gender, and the political implications of representation. Her work is regularly exhibited in independent spaces as well as international institutions.
The exhibition NO presents a series of twelve oil paintings on fabric and extends a recent line of reflection and research around the idea formulated by Yves Citton that “moral denunciation does not produce political transformation, only reversibl…
