Somewhere Under The Rainbow is a group exhibition by Nicky Sparre-Ulrich, Sabine Kongsted, and Josefine Struckmann. Drawing inspiration from the classic musical film The Wizard of Oz, the exhibition explores themes of power and manipulation. Sculpture, painting, video, and performance are presented, commenting on today’s digital media landscape, where image manipulation and hidden agendas shape societal narratives.
Sabine Kongsted is a sculptor and designer. Her work operates in the interplay between an abstract modernist language and a poetic figurative one, situated in a state of tension and at a point between constructivist and existential expression. She is drawn to people and their varied characters and is interested in the spaces we inhabit and construct. Kongsted graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam and has since worked as an artist and designer in Copenhagen and Lisbon.…
