How does perception shift when familiar things lose their legibility? When meanings drift and objects change form or function, our understanding of what they are and how they fit into daily orders, routines, and interpretive frameworks changes with them. The exhibition digesting the unreal brings together four artistic positions that engage with ritual, transformation, and the unstable nature of things. In their installational works, Rebekka Maria Feicht, Minjoon Kim, Jiwon Song, and Jonas Strobl construct hybrid scenarios between reality and imagination, everyday life and ceremony. At the core of their inquiries lies the question of how convictions dissolve when familiar objects detach from their function and are carried into new, unfamiliar contexts.
