Ontology of an Image explores photography beyond the screen, treating images as physical, vulnerable objects rather than immaterial data. By dissecting digital devices and embedding photographs within them, the works expose the hidden material body of the image.
The series “112” addresses excessive drug use in the gay scene, focusing on moments of crisis that often lead to hospitalization. These works reflect experiences that oscillate between warning and routine, visibility and silence.
Together, the exhibition asks: where does the image exist today and what does it mean when both images and bodies are pushed to their limits?
