Art that represents nothing is an art form that often appears in the visual arts. At the same time, nothing is always something. In solo exhibition ‘Nothing Wall’, Lily van der Stokker shows something over a length of 40 meters that is optimistic, loose, curly and full of small surprises in the details. The walls appear to be covered in text, but there's nothing to read. All in all, that's quite a lot. It's more than nothing, even though the painting is called a Nothing Wall.

Another ‘Nothing wall’ of Lily van der Stokker - in this case in the open air - is realised for a construction fence of future Hartwig Museum at Parnassusweg in Amsterdam. Its opening will take place at the end of September 2025.
