It is now time for ISSUES to present the second part of Alfred Boman’s solo show at the gallery. The first part that opened on 6th June, showed new paintings together with a custom made bench. The second part, opening 22nd August, sees another batch of new paintings, as well as sculpture, in an environment created by the artist. Composed of whimsical decorative elements reminiscent of the metropolitan ideas of farm-life and together with the insect-like sculptures, made from steel and papier-maché, the second show introduces an immersive trans-avant-gardism.
Known for his visually generous paintings, made using multiple techniques and media, Alfred Boman now pursues a new direction in his pictures, that evolves toward a singularity in terms of space and subject.
