In Damdramaer, Magnus Andersen transforms the familiar into something strange and wondrous.
Through paintings and ceramic sculptures, Andersen explores how everyday culture, the aesthetics of consumer society and our sense of materiality affect both our values and our view of beauty and control. Andersen draws inspiration from everyday life and its wacky sides and uses his artistic practice to draw us into his ambiguous, aesthetic universe, where humour, absurdity and reflection merge.
