Malvezzo, a solo exhibition by Daniele Milvio, opened in collaboration with Amanita, showcases new works created by the artist during his recent residency at Fondazione Iris in Bassano in Teverina. Malvezzo is a series of 11 paintings on wooden palettes made with an experimental aniline pigment process.
Daniele Milvio (b. 1988, Genoa; lives and works in Milan) graduated from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera. His approach to painting is informed by his childhood training in classical violin, which allowed him to develop a deep appreciation of harmony and nuance. His eclectic image repertoire merges classical compositional techniques with fables, myths, archetypal motifs to create ironic reflections on the absurdity of contemporary life.
