Natalia Documet was born in Lima, Peru, in 1994. She is a visual artist who has developed her artistic career not only by focusing on her personal practice but also by founding alternative spaces aimed at promoting the work of emerging artists like herself.
Her main motivation is to break down the barriers imposed by traditional institutions and make art a less intimidating space—one that invites anyone to engage with it. With this premise, she has transformed various non-artistic spaces into new meeting points where younger generations can gather and discuss issues that affect and represent them. By decentralizing the market and the concept of production, she provides them with the freedom to present multiple narratives.
