Tranker Kata’s first solo exhibition at Longtermhandstand unfolds through a series of new sculptures and hand-formed reliefs that draw on mythology, embodiment, and personal transformation. In Book of the Heavenly Cow, a timeless female figure takes shape, moving through layers of narrative and material, past and present. The exhibition is inspired by the Egyptian myth of the Book of the Heavenly Cow, in which the goddess Nut raises the sky above the earth to restore cosmic order after humanity’s rebellion. Tranker does not retell this story directly. Instead, she channels its atmosphere into tactile forms shaped by gesture, intuition, and memory. Her sculptures evoke a quiet aftermath—where the body holds the traces of both violence and healing. A series of wall reliefs follows the path of a primordial mother figure.
