The exhibition Im Werden (In Process) presents two kinetic installations by Janik Valler and Carmine lacolare, each revealing a stage from lacolare’s atelier practice. Actions usually carried out by hand are here executed by automated systems. One installation gently lowers a cowhide into a dye bath, the other coats a deer jaw in liquid rubber.
Turning an organic fragment into a protected object.
