Extensor Geometrico presents Non Disclosure Agreement #3, a sculpture by Marco Cassani. The title, borrowed from the language of legal contracts that safeguard confidentiality, points to an implicit agreement between artist and audience – a silent acknowledgment of shared trust and secrecy.
This idea of tacit exchange is echoed in the material of the work itself. Composed of approximately 10.000 wish coins, NDA #3 emerges from Cassani’s long-term practice. Since 2014, he has collected the inner fragments of coins – residual matter from his ongoing
Fountain series – and systematically bound them together with thread to form a semicircular curtain.
The repetitive act of binding connects process to ritual. Much like the Catholic rosary, where prayer is guided bead by bead, Cassani’s method produces a rhythm that is meditative and laborious. In this sense, NDA #3 is not only a sculptural object but also a…
