GaliLeo – Cultural Research Telescope hosts, from Thursday, November 3 to Saturday, November 12, the exhibition Sensitive Geometries. From and for Carla Badiali.
The show seeks to bring the artistic investigations of Carla Badiali — artist and designer, leading figure of Astrattismo Comasco (a movement that arose around the 1930s in the province of Como) — into contemporary focus.
The works of Stefania Lelio and Matteo Pulvirenti establish a dialogue with and update, through different techniques and material choices, the depths of Composizione (1974–1989) — a double-dated work by Badiali physically present at the beginning of the exhibition. Sensibility and abstraction are thus equally at the center of the contributions offered by the two artists.
Historical echoes and suggestions find both autonomy and harmony in the installation conceived by Matteo Lenuzza — the exhibition’s curator…
