The guest artists for this exhibition root their work in places of memory, lived experiences, or a particular vision of the world, which they translate through installations, sculptures, or reliefs. Using techniques that preserve the imprint of the hand—such as ceramics, molding, or the assemblage of found objects—they shape or recompose forms that are at once familiar and enigmatic, whose resonance extends beyond the personal to enter the collective.
Themes of ritual, whether spiritual or everyday, of temporality, of the evocative power of text and material things, and of the relation to death and the life cycle run through these polysemic, layered works. They make subtle reference to the parental home, places of gathering, the interconnections of the living world, and societal issues.
