Z33 presents the first institutional solo exhibition by Mounir Eddib (Genk, °1995). In Taliswoman, Mounir takes visitors on a journey through a landscape of memory and myth. The former mines of Genk appear not only as industrial relics, but as sites haunted by untold stories.

As the grandson of a Moroccan miner, Eddib explores the legacy of migration and labor in the region. He focuses on the invisible and intimate: the mystical, the domestic, and ritual. Taliswoman emphasizes the power of feminized spaces and protective practices that are often passed down by women. Eddib draws on Amazigh and Sahrawi ritual practices to imbue his art with talismanic properties, particularly through the use of traditional protective materials such as lead, tar, and indigo cloth. His work transcends mere documentation and invites you to navigate between presence and absence, between loss and what remains.
