"18 Questions With" is an interview series featuring the artists, curators, and gallerists driving art's next wave.

Dorottya Vékony is an interdisciplinary artist whose work focuses on how we relate to our bodies and each other. She explores themes like fertility, vulnerability, and interpersonal care through media such as photography, sculpture, and video. By combining research with personal stories, Dorottya's art often invites viewers to reflect on social norms and shared experiences.

What's the best (or worst) advice you've ever received as an artist?
A09:

Someone once told me that the best work comes from pain, you have to suffer to create something amazing.
