Description
Montehermoso Cultural Center is part of the Department of Culture and Education of Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council. It is defined as a place for the production, exhibition, and dissemination of contemporary creation in the visual arts, with special attention to artists from the local context.
To this end, the Center develops several lines of action, including the following:
- Open calls: these initiatives aim to support both the production of artistic projects and their exhibition and dissemination.
- Exhibitions: the exhibition program presents creative projects related to contemporary art and culture, with a particular focus on showcasing the work of artists in the early stages of their professional careers.
- Cultural and educational activities: these complement the Center’s exhibition program. Through this program, work is carried out around the themes presented in the exhibitions, as well as the relationship between contemporary art and the context in which it is produced.
