Biography
Azadeh Elmizadeh (b. 1987, Tehran; lives and works in Toronto) received an MFA from the University of Guelph (2020) and a BFA from OCAD University (2016). Recent solo and two-person exhibitions include Franz Kaka, Toronto (2025, 2022, 2020); Tara Downs, New York (2025); Sea View, Los Angeles (2023); Tube Culture Hall, Milan (2023); Southern Alberta Art Gallery, Lethbridge (2022). Selected group exhibitions have been held at Make Room, Los Angeles (2025); Hessel Museum of Art, Annandale-on-Hudson (2025); Winnipeg Art Gallery (2024); Nanaimo Art Gallery (2024); Anat Ebgi, Los Angeles (2023); Harkawik, New York (2023); Europa, New York (2023); Public Gallery, London (2022); The Blackwood, Mississauga (2022). Her work is held in the McMichael Canadian Art Collection, as well as corporate and private collections in Canada and the United States. A publication with Art Metropole, co-published with Franz Kaka, was released in 2025.
