Biography
Katya Tsareva is a multidisciplinary artist based in London, UK. She was born in 1984 in Krasnodar, Russia. In 2006, she earned a Master’s degree in Architecture and Design from Kuban State University and, in 2024, completed the Chelsea Open Studio Short Course at Chelsea College of Arts in London.
Her recent exhibitions include the two-part solo show The Fleeting Light on Your Folds (London and Voskhod Gallery, Basel, 2024), the duo exhibition Dawn on Your Skin (London, 2024), participation in the Limburg Biennale at Marres (Maastricht, Netherlands, 2024), and the 1st Ground Biennale, Textile in Contemporary Art at Ground Solyanka (Moscow, 2024). These projects build on a strong exhibition history, including a solo exhibition at the Udmurt Republican Museum of Fine Arts (2018, supported by PERMM Museum of Contemporary Art), and earlier recognition among In Art's Top 100 Young Russian Artists (2017).
