Biography
Panos Giannikopoulos (b. 1991, Athens) is a curator and art historian working at the intersection of contemporary art, critical theory, and research-based exhibition practice. His work examines how artistic practices engage with political ecology, participation, and collective structures, with a sustained focus on the Balkans, the Eastern Mediterranean, and North Africa. He has curated exhibitions, commissions, and long-term projects in Greece and abroad, including the Greek Pavilion at the 60th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia (Xirómero/Dryland). His practice is grounded in long-term research, close collaboration with artists, and critical attention to the material, institutional, and political conditions of exhibition-making.
