Biography
Stefano Miraglia (Málaga, 1988) is an Italian-Spanish visual artist, filmmaker, and curator based in Paris. His work explores the connections between artistic creation, personal memory, and the perception of space, combining documentary and abstract imagery with the cognitive and perceptual qualities of other artistic practices such as collage and noise music. His films have been presented internationally in exhibition spaces and film institutions such as the Taiwan Contemporary Culture Lab, Cinematek — Cinémathèque royale de Belgique, the Beijing International Short Film Festival, and Prismatic Ground. Since 2018, he has curated several exhibitions and programs featuring experimental and artists’ films. Stefano is the founder of Movimcat, an online project dedicated to the dissemination of artists’ cinema. He is a member of the selection committee for the Pesaro Film Festival in Italy and of the French association of art curators, C|E|A.
