Biography
Born in 1986, Gaël Epiney currently lives and works in Lausanne, Switzerland. For the past fifteen years, he has been exhibiting regularly in Switzerland, as well as abroad where he had the opportunity to carry out several projects.
His artistic work is influenced by the mountains and their traditions, as well as by the observations he has made on his travels. For almost twenty years, he has been regularly travelling in Asia, particularly in Tibet where he has studied the language and traditional painting. These experiences have modified not only his perception of the world, but also his own creative process. These influences can be seen in the materials he chooses, in his meditative coloring sessions and in the way he combines colors and shapes.
