Biography
Maria Luiza Serafim Reis Gonçalves is a Brazilian curator and researcher based in Berlin, working at the intersection of sound, materiality, and curatorial practice. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts from the University of Brasília (Brazil) and is currently completing an MA in Sound Studies and Sonic Arts at Universität der Künste Berlin.
Her curatorial work is grounded in the politics of listening, exploring how sound and its absence reveal structural conditions. She approaches curating as a situated practice that resists explanation and resolution, centering on material strategies, shared time, and attention to what remains unfinished or withheld.
