Biography
I appreciate the documentation and fragmenting of physical forms as seen
through the evolution of modernism. Reproducing or visually interpreting a
tangible environment is an interest as long as it participates in the reprocessing
of thought and perspective. Driven by the language of color, balance, line and the
tension or release that can be imposed by them, I try to create visual synergy
and perspective. The perpetual search for a conceptual dialogue is a motivating
challenge that drives my interests and orients my artistic encounters. I grew up
around modern and contemporary art of the 60’s and 70’s. It was an alternative
to conventional creative processes and blended well with my interest in jazz and
the progressive music of that period. When punk emerged, my sonic interests
shifted dramatically which further emboldened my investigations into
contemporary painting and sculpture. Of particular interest is geometric
abstraction and how its integration into the natural environment…
