Timsam Harding (Málaga, 1992) investigates moving landscapes through the relationship between speed, time, and matter. The highway becomes his primary site of observation, a territory where constant transit transforms both the landscape and the individual’s sensory and mental perception.
His practice explores the architectures and materials of this environment, capturing vibrations and amplifying sounds that usually remain invisible. Through sculptures and sound installations, he turns urban noise into a physical, tactile, resonant language. It is not only about listening, but about feeling how traffic and its forces inscribe themselves on bodies and in space.
Noise, traditionally understood as something annoying or invasive, appears in his work as an ambiguous field. It can be disturbing, but it can also generate calm, concentration, or a sense of company, as with “white noise.” By contrast, silence is pre…
